Diagnosability of Hybrid Systems

چکیده
Fault diagnosis is a challenging task in the control of Hybrid Systems. In this work we introduce the notion of diagnosability of Hybrid Systems in the framework of Hybrid Input Output Automata (HIOA). We present a methodology for detection of faults imposing the conditions for a Hybrid System to be diagnosable. This approach is applicable to a wide rage of systems since Hybrid Systems involve both continuous and discrete dynamics. The states of the Hybrid System model reflect the normal and the failed status of the system components. The faults in our setting are modeled as either discrete or continuous (detrimental) state changes.

Limited-Time Lookahead Diagnosability of Rectangular Hybrid Automata
This paper investigates the diagnosability of Rectangular Hybrid Automata used for modeling a class of hybrid systems. First, a generalized definition of Limited-Time Lookahead diagnosability of timed languages, for multiple failure modes, is proposed. Then, we provide a systematic approach, for checking the LTLa diagnosability of systems modeled with Rectangular Hybrid Automata, and verifying ...
متن کاملCoupling Continuous and Discrete Event System Techniques for Hybrid System Diagnosability Analysis
In this paper we propose a hybrid system modeling framework aimed at analyzing diagnosability. In this framework, the hybrid system is seen as the composition of an underlying discrete event and an underlying continuous systems. Diagnosability of these two underlying systems are fully analyzed and new results are provided for the underlying continuous system (called the multimode system). Based...
متن کاملAn Event-based Approach to Hybrid Systems Diagnosability
Diagnosability is an important issue in the design of diagnostic systems, because it helps identify whether sufficient information is available to distinguish all the faults. Diagnosability of hybrid systems, however, is challenging, because mode transitions may occur during fault isolation. We present an event-based framework for hybrid systems diagnosis based on a qualitative abstraction of m...
متن کاملDiagnosability of Networks of Hybrid Systems
Results for the diagnosability of hybrid dynamical networks are presented. These results give the conditions for which arbitrary events (including faults) in hybrid networks can be detected and isolated using a general class of indicator functions. These results emerge from the overlap of the control theoretic fault detection and isolation and diagnosis communities. The interaction of the many ...
متن کاملDiagnosability of Hybrid Systems: Analysis and Verification Cast in Des Framework
The diagnosability analysis proposed for Discrete Event Systems (DES) can be extended to Hybrid Systems (HS) which are systems with combined discrete and continuous behavior. In this paper we propose an approach based on the combination of the diagnosability of the underlying DES and the distinguishability of the continuous modes of the HS. The main idea is to build an observer of the underlyin...
